Prayer needs of the Rossendale Team

Rossendale Team Prayers Winter 2025 / 2026

Valley Hope Community Church

 Thankful for the ABD, as it feels more and more like home every week and the new people that have joined us on a Sunday for worship.
 Thanks for our groups Refresh and Gather & Grow, the relationships built and the joy,
laughter and spiritual nourishment experienced.
 Thanks for the Make n Take sessions that we began at Holy Trinity Primary in 2025.
 Hopes for 2026 include getting an early decision on the future of the Holy Trinity church
building that will allow us to move forward
 Prayer for VHCC as we continue to seek God's will and guidance for the future. May we be guided by the Holy Spirit and see growth in faith, number, discipleship, stewardship and service.

St Mary & All Saints Goodshaw

 Prayers have been answered with regard to the numbers of new and returning members of the congregation. As an example, there were twice the number of people in church on Christmas Day in 2025 than there were in 2024.
 Prayers for this year for being able to maintain the building, so that we can upkeep our presence in the community. This includes not only finding the funds for significant material repairs, but also that we may find the way to continue our outreach to young people and young families.

St Nicholas, Newchurch

 Giving thanks to God for growth in our congregation during 2025.
 Praying that we can continue to welcome new people into church.
 Praying for our local community and how we might serve them
this year.

St Bartholomew, Whitworth

 Praying for more people to involve
themselves in Church Events
 The growth and development of our
Garden Project.
 The continued growth of our congregation.

St Anne, Edgeside

 Thankful that we have seen growth and not
decline since Rod retired.
 Thankful for full services over Christmas etc
and pray for this engagement to continue.

St Mary, Rawtenstall

 Thankful for continued growth as a church.
A closer fellowship among our own
members, new adults and that children
have felt welcome. Also that pastoral and
cultural events have brought in more people
from the local community.
 In 2026 we hope sufficient funds will be
available to complete church repairs,
especially to the clock and tower.
 The provision and use of resources
for prayer will build St Mary’s into a
community of prayer.

St John, Facit

 Thanking God for the success of our All Age Services at the Ashcroft in 2025.
 We pray that our congregation will continue to grow with more young people and families joining us.
 We pray for success in finding a new Team Rector in 2026.

St Paul Constable-Lee

 Thankful for and encouraged by those who were confirmed in 2025. Also for the number of new people who came to our 2 Sunday afternoon services leading up to Christmas

 Praying that all these new friends continue to meet with us - and more importantly meet with Jesus - and that our church family will grow.
