Prayer needs of the Rossendale Team

Rossendale Team Prayers Autumn 2025

 

Holy Trinity with St Saviour and Christ Church with St John

 Pray for both churches as they continue to worship together at ABD and especially for Christ Church, as they move away from Central Methodist when the sharing agreement ends at the end of September.

 Pray for Holy Trinity building matters, as we wait for the Church Commissioners decisions re the proposal to close for public worship.

 Pray for our ongoing mission at Holy Trinity School and in the community through Beaconsfield.

 Pray for the opportunity for fellowship of a church meal in November at the Rose n Bowl.

St Mary & All Saints Goodshaw

 Pray for our initiatives to bring younger people into church, especially Little Angels, Messy Church and our new rota, which includes services we hope will be more attractive to younger people.

 Finances: We are facing some hefty Capex bills over the coming months, as we seek to bring the church building “up to scratch” ahead of its bicentenary in 2028.

 The community of Crawshawbooth, Goodshaw, Loveclough and Clowbridge, that those in need may come and see how faith in God can transform their lives.

St Nicholas, Newchurch

 Giving thanks for new families attending church.

 Praying for more volunteers to organise and help with children's ministry.

 Praying for courage and more willingness to move forward.

 

St Bartholomew, Whitworth

 Give thanks for the training of our Bell Ringers.

 Giving thanks for prayers answered in the growth of children and young people in our church.

 Pray for the success of our Grant Application.

 

 

St Anne, Edgeside

 Pray for the church as we prepare for Rod’s retirement and for Jill.

 Giving thanks for answered prayer for families who have joined us.

 Pray for the church as we discern what God has for us next. 

St Mary, Rawtenstall

 Pray for our 3 Bible study groups and for their growth and expansion.

 Giving thanks for the work of Team St Mary’s and praying for team members as they volunteer in all the upcoming social and pastoral activities.

 Pray for the development of our work with children, including more Make and Take sessions. 

 

St John, Facit

 Pray that our link with school will flourish anew.

 Pray that our new ‘All Age Worship’ services in the community, will encourage families to join us in praise.

 Pray for our Clergy and all those who lead our services, as we enter a period without a Team Rector. 

St Paul Constable-Lee

 Continued thanks & prayer for our “nonSunday” events, ‘Ow Do, toddler group, breakfast, Woody Church.

 Prayer for growth in numbers at Sunday services, as well as growth in faith.

 Thanks for the love and support there is within our church family. Thanks for Samuel, Laura, and all the “Guest speakers” who so generously share their time and wisdom.

 Pray for those who are bereaved & the poorly & their carers.
