Prayer requests for Winter/Spring 2025 in the Rossendale Team

 

Holy Trinity with St Saviour and Christ Church with St John

  • Praying for the ‘The Lighthouse,’ our new mission initiative at Holy Trinity Primary, offering a weekly drop-in for parents who come to collect their children at the end of the school day.
  • Continued prayer for Holy Trinity as a fragile church and that the wheels of decision making can turn a little bit quicker.
  • Praying for the next stage of our 'visioning time', as Holy Trinity work closely with Christ Church to shape the future of the Anglican church in Bacup and Stacksteads.

St Mary & All Saints Goodshaw

  • Praying God would give us all the courage to encourage others to “Come And See.”
  • Praying for the success of our Messy Church events in this new year.
  • Praying that we may find funds to carry out the repair works to our church building.
  • Praying for our elderly parishioners through the winter months, that they may stay warm and healthy.

St Nicholas, Newchurch

  • Praying that our Make ‘n’ Take
    sessions will continue to be
    successful.
  • Praying that we can support the Anna Chaplaincy project. 
  • Praying that we may grow spiritually and numerically and continue to serve our school and local community and spread the love of Christ to all we meet.

 

St Bartholomew, Whitworth

  • Praying for the continued increase in congregation numbers.
  • Praying the school and church continue to build stronger relationships.
  • In these difficult times, we pray for the work and helpers at our local food bank in Whitworth.

 

 

St Anne, Edgeside

  • Praying for volunteers for Toddlers
    and Children’s Groups on a Sunday.
  • Praying for all involved with groups
    including, Kidsrock, Psalms and
    Stretches and youth socials.
  • Praying for those leading and
    attending the Alpha Course.

St Mary, Rawtenstall

  • We pray for guidance in how our work with young people should develop.
  • We pray that God will raise up the
    people we need to come forward and expand his work in our church.
  • We pray that we may become a people of prayer and create more opportunities to pray together.

 

St John, Facit

  • Maintaining links with school and that we see them more in church throughout 2025.
  • That our congregation begins to ‘grow younger’ and attract new families.
  • Praying that we can continue to afford our parish share.

St Paul Constable-Lee

  • Guidance and wisdon moving forward and the best use of grant money.
  • Inviting and attracting more families to church and church activities
  • Claire's future and work with schools
  • Continued prayer for Mark, Jen & familyand those of our church family with health and care needs.
